vivo international is implementing an extensive NET curriculum for Ukrainian mental health professionals to support civilians and military members suffering from trauma-related disorders. The project is part of a bigger project called SOLOMIYA – Long-term strengthening of medical and psychosocial infrastructures in Ukraine, led by the Charité Berlin and funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The project includes training in the basics of NET and its variations as well as subsequent supervision for 60 mental health professionals. Trainings will be conducted online with a group of vivo’s NET trainers and supervisors.
So far 4 trainings have taken place from November 2023 to February 2024, with the supervision sessions still taking place. The feedback from the participants has been exceedingly positive and we are looking into additional ways to provide training and supervision to more mental health professionals in Ukraine.
